I only briefly fell off the face of the earth
|
A while back I posted that I hadn’t fallen off the face of the earth. I’ve since felt like I have, but only briefly. Or maybe a better analogy would be that I’m hanging off the edge – a very slippery edge.
At any rate, I’m a little better now. I was sick, my husband was sick, I had computer problems, my husband still has computer problems, I was out of town, I had an Obama sign stolen twice, among many other time consuming things.
We even had an owl and a hawk fighting in a tree in a neighbor’s yard – in daylight! That was kind of cool – but still distracting from getting stuff done. (The picture is kind of grainy, I don’t have a good zoom on my camera and you probably need to click on it to see it very well.)
In the free time I have had on weekends I’ve still been canvassing for Obama. That has been going well, but tiring also. You can read more about that here.
I had planned to write a lot about cancer this month, being that is breast cancer awareness month but that obviously hasn’t happened. I wanted to blog on the 15th about poverty too, but didn’t have the time. Tons of comment spam to delete.
And unfortunately my blogging will still be somewhat sporadic for the next couple of weeks and maybe even the rest of this year. Although not as bad. I have a lot of topics lined up to write about – I just need to find the time to do it.

Hi Trisha, I have missed you on the the web but totally get the life thing! I’ve had my fair share of it recently too. Glad you’re well and it was nice to get news from you.

Feel better, breathe, don’t let the monkeys get you down (cuz that pic looks like it has a monkey in it to me), hang in there, and know that we’ll be here when you return again. (Just make sure you stay well enough to vote for Obama on the 4th).

Hi Trisha,
Just wanted to say that I’ve started reading your blog. I’m wondering if you have heard about the book, “What Men Don’t Tell Women About Business”. I heard the guy (Chris Flett) on the Today Show and thought you probably have already heard of him. I’m wondering what your thoughts were. He seems to be really taking on the ‘Old Boys Club”. I just emailed him, but haven’t heard back.
Anyway, keep up the great writing.
Best,
Bihter.

an owl and hawk fight – that’s definitely notable.
I’m still not back in the swing of things either. I’ve been so exhausted and I hope I can get my energy back before I lose all my readers. I understand the feeling.

Hi Trisha,
I’ve been doing some additional research on the author, Chris Flett, that I talked about on my last comment. His company is “GhostCEO” (www.GhostCEO.com) and his book is a bestseller. I found it on Amazon here. Anyway, he was in the NY Times last Sunday under the “Career Couch” and he makes reference to women’s blogs like yours so I thought you might like to connect. I’d like to see you interview him and see what he’s all about. I saw on another blog he was a guest blogger. His email is: chris@ghostceo.com
Best wishes,
Bihter.

Trisha,
I think we fell of the face of the earth at the same time. So I feel for you. I am having a difficult time getting back into the groove of things too.
Glad to see you back!

It sounds like you have been keeping busy though when you are not blogging. That is sad to hear that people would steal your signs for a politician you support. Thats very petty and immature.
