I love the idea - have since I first heard about it 3 years ago. Now I'm finally getting to where I should be able to give it a try (having enough office space to fit in at least a small treadmill.)

Please let us know if you give it a try and if so whether it works for you. It's been somewhat interesting that I haven't seen a negative comment yet from anyone who has tried it - though I know that there are reasons for positive comments on things like this to generally outweigh negative even if the average user's experiences aren't that positive.

Hi Trisha,
Great setup to get motivated to exercise. I don't think I could walk & try to do my work at the same time.

As for your favourite couch..it might be comfy but definitely does nothing for your back.

If sitting at a desk for long periods it is recommended (by my osteopath) to get up off your chair approx every 20 mins....give a stretch otherwise your body just seizes up & this is why you get stiff.

I think that is a super-cool setup - better than the idea I'm about to share with you.

I used to get terrible back pain by sitting for long periods of time too - turned out the cause was the chair I was sitting on. It was just a regular chair, nothing ergonomic about it.

I went to my OfficeMax and sat in every one of their chairs - price was no object - ironically the most comfortable one that I still use 6-7 years later was only around $60!

Thanks for the link. That pic is so interesting! I had never heard of walking and working at the same time (besides the multi-tasking fitness walk of course).
Very cool stuff! :)
