Succinctly put!
I've been privy to atleast 3 friend's medical abortion "secrets", and none of them were as private as swallowing a pill.

It's hard to hide why you have to take a few days off your $8 an hour job and drive 4 hours to the nearest big city (and hope your car makes it, or borrow someone's and explain THAT). One of my friends had to get a car title loan to afford her $400 abortion, and then made the 4 hour solo trip to a large city she'd never been to.

People in my age group (late 20s-early 30s) may not have known life before Roe v. Wade, but anyone not in a major city knows what abortions were like before the pill became a choice.
