We need more hours!
|
In a day that is. Or at least I do. Ever since we’ve had our puppy I run out of time trying to get things done. And I don’t even have kids yet. I really don’t know how some people do it.
The puppy is forcing me to be healthier though. I have to make sure I get to bed by a certain time – because she will wake me up every morning at the same time regardless of when I went to bed or how much sleep I got.
And since I’ve been taking her for long walks – which I need to do to help wear her out so I can get some work done – I’ve been easily getting 10,000 steps a day.
And as I’ve been learning about dog nutrition to make sure I feed her healthy food, I’ve been eating a little better too.
Now, if I just had a few more hours each day I could get some more work done too! Maybe even work on this blog and site!

I have enjoyed reading your blog posts and when it came to the issue of puppys i just had to comment, i am a devoted animal lover so my home is just full of them and you never realise at the time how much of your free time will be occupied when it comes to them especially demanding puppies i barely had time to update my site TRAVEL HQR and i was awoken early by the barking or the dogs wanting to walk as you know the pups love routines once they find one, anyway good luck i wish you well trying to juggle work and dogs it is very worthy.

Dog or puppy is mans best friend. I have a dog and i know that with little loving, they return ten times. Their loyalty is superb. No man can be that loyal. However, it took effort on my end. Time and money to sustain my Dog. With the efforts you are exerting for your puppy, it is more than worth it. And 10,000 steps is already an exercise. That is healthy for you, too!

I hear you – but walking your dog is such wonderful exercise for you both to make it a priority.
I have a Black Lab and get both peace and inspiration when out walking him. Helps with the beer belly too!
Keep up the great posts – I really enjoy reading them!

I agree with you, putting in working hours and feeling that daily grind can be tough. A nice walk with my dog clears my head and gives me some objectivity when reflecting on the tasks behind and ahead.
