Congratulations on upgrading your swimsuit. Do you have any pictures to share of the new swimsuit? How is it working out for you so far?

Pubic hair? What's that? Mine has vanished of late, like the hair under my arms.

Not that I was ever a hairy woman, but the little that I once had is now to be found around my chin.

P.S. Tie on a pretty sarong :)

Susannas last blog post: <a href="http://www.mindovermenopause.com/2008/07/24/going-to-the-mountains/" rel="nofollow">Going to the Mountains</a>

How often do you yourself swim and what stroke or do you just write about it?

Can I ask though - how did you get this picked up and into google news?

Very impressive that this blog is syndicated through Google and is it something that is just up to Google or you actively created?

Obviously this is a popular blog with great data so well done on your seo success..

Swimming greats you should write about next, my ex was an olympic swimmer!

I don't go to malls and prefer to avoid them completely. For women it is awesome that two piece bathing suits are sold separately. As women our bodies are different from top to bottom so we need this. I know for me I need different sizes in the two piece. In fact, this is a good reminder to order some new bottoms for my two piece since my body has changed over the past two years since I have had this suit. But it has changed in a very healthy and balanced way! ;)

Hi Trish,

I can relate to this! Last year my partner and I went to the Great Barrier Reef for a holiday. I found a bathing suit that was really nice and I felt as comfortable as I could. I found myself constantly wrapping a towel around myself whenever I left the water.
I think it's quite normal for people to become more self conscious as they age. It's unfortunate because we should be really proud of our shape :)
Regarding the pubic hair question. That's a whole new topic! Wax, shave..yeesh! I just hate it!
Thanks for a great post :)

It makes me feel better to know I'm not alone! I hope I don't chicken out of actually wearing mine in public now!

When I was a kid my parents had a pool and I guess since the only people who were there and therefore saw me in a swimming suit were people I knew it never bothered me. But the thought of going to a public pool or beach in a swimming suit is kind of intimidating.

I don't wear bathing suits anymore. Basically, I'm a high skin cancer risk and I don't enjoy walking around in "underwear and a bra" in front of complete strangers. I'll wear shorts or a sarong and a tank... I look better in a nice dress anyway, and that way I can be sure people are looking at my face instead of my chest. I'm married and don't want to attract unwanted attention either... Call me a fuddy duddy. No more bathing suits for me. :)

Hi Trisha,

I can totally relate to this post. I won't even wear a bathing suit anymore - I'm not overweight and I'm not thin but I really don't feel comfortable in them - it is like wearing underwear. When I swim, it's usually at a lake so I just wear a tank top and shorts. My daughter wants/needs to take swimming lessons so I'm probably going to have to buy one soon - ugh.

I did know that they sell the tops and bottoms separately - I've seen that in catalogs. And it's about time - I always needed a bigger size on top than on bottom. One time when I was a teenager my Dad actually switched the tops before we bought it so I had a bathing suit that fit me.

I can't stand malls so part of me is glad that the shops were closed and there weren't many people there but since our society is based on consumerism it doesn't bode well for the economy.

I liked you adding a personal touch to the post - it gives it individuality.
