I have taken once-a-month Boniva for two months now and have developed a temperature of up to a 102 degrees after each dose! The fever lasts for 3 to 4 days and between the fever and the other side effects, I am not a happy camper for about a week. The doctor insists I have the flu. Once a month flu? That's a new one to me. If anyone has experienced the same thing I sure would like to hear from you. Will this get better each month because I sure am not looking forward to my next dose.

Kate,
I guess I didn't word my title for this post very well! If I understand correctly - the injectable form of Boniva was only recently given approval though.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting! Nice site too!

Boniva was approved for use in the USA in 2003. A page giving background,
FAQ and summaries of research studies about Boniva can be found at
